Scott Cuellar is a Partner in Chicago. For the previous eight years, Scott was a member of Dallas-based Chartwell Partners, which had absorbed as its industrial and consumer practices the boutique search firm he co-founded in 2007. Previously, he was a senior partner in the Chicago office of Heidrick & Struggles, where he served on the firm’s Global Nominating Committee, overseeing consulting staff and partner promotions. Scott began his executive search career with Russell Reynolds Associates.

Scott has recruited chief executive, chief operating, and chief financial officers for more than 100 small, mid-sized, and large private, public, and private equity backed companies. Additionally, Scott has recruited many senior functional leaders in sales and marketing, human resources, and supply chain. His industry expertise spans the industrial, consumer products and food, and distribution industries. Scott’s client list during his career has included more than 20 members of the Fortune 500, including companies such as General Electric, Eaton, Honeywell, Rockwell, Danaher, Illinois Tool Works, AMETEK, Whirlpool, John Deere, Grainger, Conagra, and TreeHouse Foods. 

Prior to his career in executive search, Scott worked in corporate business development for the General Electric Company. Before that, he was a consultant in the Cleveland office of McKinsey & Company. Scott began his career with the General Motors Corporation, serving in operations, engineering and product management roles. He holds an undergraduate degree cum laude in electrical engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), as well as an M.B.A. with distinction from The Wharton School.

Scott previously served on the Foundation Board of the Delnor-Community Health System in Geneva, Illinois.
